“The Fugitive”, dir. Marek Tomasz Pawłowski
In his film, Marek Tomasz Pawłowski follows the fate of the extraordinary figure of Kazimierz Piechowski, the organizer of the most daring escape from Auschwitz.

The film won numerous awards around the world, including a Bronze Medal at the New York Film Festival (for the first time in 54 years).


“Jaster – Hela’s secret”, dir. Małgorzata Walczak & Tomasz Pawłowski

The film presents one of the shocking stories that happened during the tragic elections in the ranks of the Home Army, and its continuation took place in the times of communist Poland. 22-year-old Stanisław Jaster, pseudonym “Hel”, member of the “Osa-Kosa” units of General Grot-Rowecki, personal emissary of Witold Pilecki, after escaping from the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp in 1942, due to an extraordinary, tragic set of circumstances, he was wrongly accused for collaboration with the Gestapo, he was summarily convicted and shot without a trial or sentence. The film is a symbolic attempt at rehabilitation and explaining the “white spots” in Polish history.​​


“Dangerous Moonlight”

In the middle of World War II, Polish musician Stefan (Anton Walbrook) meets American journalist Carole (Sally Gray) while the Nazis are marching on Poland. Even though they both have to flee from the Germans, they fall in love and after leaving Eastern Europe, they get married. Even though Stefan is happy in his marriage and work as a musician, he cannot forget about his obligation to his homeland. He eventually returns to fight, despite Carole’s concerns.

Brian Desmond Hurst was a famous director born in Belfast. He directed over 30 films, making him one of the most creative filmmakers of the 20th century. He is probably best known for Scrooge.
